"In the world of go, go, go, the last thing you need is a flawed security alarm system or, having to deal with pesky issues that could keep you from streamlining your business and buggering up your ROI."
"I only say this because I have been there once or twice. To be fully streamlined in security over your business is by using our ADT Pulse Total Productivity package which gives you full control over your business. It can be from anywhere, down to controlling temperature, lights as well as other cool features over a secure connection using any tablet or cell phone. This is the creme de la creme product but only suitable for specific types of businesses or owners who would see a benefit from it, so not for everyone. The generalized business community can receive all they need with our ADT Pulse Enterprise View package. These products allow the business owner to be free of worry over the little things which when accumulated, become large issues. In its use you can automate events, control access to your business from your cell phone, peek in to see productivity or issues and a variety of other features. Where it comes in handy and what I mean by pesky issues, is when you leave your business to get half way home or all the way home and wonder if you had forgotten to set the alarm, or left a light on high lighting your merchandise for invasion. Explain your typical interaction when you meet a business owner.
"Having a security alarm system, ironically, is the last thought of a business owner and usually a last-minute panic or scramble to find a solution. This is compounded by the business owner learning that the security system already in place is obsolete or not compatible with the upgraded security alarm service providers platform. It also becomes an issue as budgets haven't been allotted or considered and I find sometimes business owners fail to realize just how important this can be and what it means for their business. So I find myself more on the business consulting side and working with a business owner to make sense of it all while they try to justify or find room within their budgets. Usually the outcome is positive and it helps that I have a business background and have had my fair share of experience at all levels of business development."
"I am not your typical sales or business rep. I understand where most business owners are coming from, I'm not out to just sell products or services for the sake of money. I believe in the product, I also believe in relationships which I am known for building with my clients. I like knowing what's going on with them, staying in touch, some customers I know their family, kids and see and interact outside of the business world. To me my image and how people view me is very important and I aim to return the same. When I am asked if I know of a service or place, I will always refer one of my clients first, why? because I have grown to know who they are, what their business is about, and their credentials and abilities to carry out their business. This is why I build relationships not making them just clients or a sales lead. These are people just like me making a living and providing for their families and there employees and their families as well. I have a service I provide and yes some may not feel its the option they want at that time, but I'm like a family member you can't get rid of (hahaha), somewhere I'm in there, in the back of your mind, it's only a matter of time before our relationship blooms. I say that with humor by the way. I'm quirky at times and believe business should have some fun included along the way."

So if a person or business were to ask why ADT, what could you tell me?
"Going with ADT for your alarm, camera and monitoring needs is a sound choice for a number of reasons like history, their market share, their ability to monitor from I think is now seven monitoring stations throughout Canada even in the event of power failures, saving on insurance costs using our ULC Certification process and many other benefits. ADT is front and center when it comes to security alarms, camera surveillance and security monitoring for a reason, I mean think about that for a moment, we serve and monitor over 6.5 million accounts in Canada. Most smaller companies do not have the same capabilities or features or quality of equipment for that matter. Other companies charging low rates go out of business fairly quickly as they have under minded their own market and selling for less than actual operating costs, you can not survive long with that business model. A quick online search will confirm that pretty quick. ADT has been here a long time, over 142 years and we are here to stay. I feel this translates into a trusted service and confidence for a client or potential customer, its really that simple."
What makes you unique from others in your position as a security rep?
"Besides my sense of culture and relationship building, I listen to my clients, analyze their place of business, provide sound suggestions all the while trying to accommodate cost, needs, efficiency and justification so they can make an informed decision about their surveillance cameras, security alarms or security packages. I tend to build a growth system, where as, we provide the client with sound security needs for that moment with option to expand from initial purchase or at a later date by adding what is required as the business grows or when the demands are greater. I ask the right questions as a business owner, not as a security consultant, by this I mean, knowing the plans of the business owners company goes a long way to a better and cost effect product and design. Every business is slightly unique as to their history, future, location and this all makes a difference in the security package that best suits the business. Yes, it is not just sign here and turn on your alarm. There is a deliberate process I have created and use and an important one that should not be looked as just an alarm or deterrent system. Even to the point of selling your business, as you own the equipment, there is options and value there as well. I can help you decide what is best and how to go about moving, selling or evaluating your system giving the client options and ideas. Again, for me, it's about relationships. I don't have to do this nor is it part of ADT service, I just do. Consider me like your dentist or doctor, wait bad example, people are always looking for a second opinion or price, let's go with life insurance provider. You can always call on me and will need to at times, to figure out or question something and that's what I'm here for. Most things like tech support, keypad codes and account issues can easily be handled through ADT directly and should be because of privacy and business account information."
"I advocate to my clients to contact me in the event of anything. This provides me info as to what is happening with ADT and its service so I'm aware and informed, as well as, help me inform ADT to correct or address anything pertinent or for future such cases. Sometimes us rep's need to flex a little muscle, (haha) totally kidding."
Wow, talk about info to digest and going above and beyond call of duty. I'm guessing this is what keeps you in the top of your class so to speak?
"In a sense yes, I suppose. I keep my relationships, even when I move on or change careers. Thus why I say "Making your business our business, is just good for business". I treat B2B as if it was a tight knit network or family thus why I value how I am viewed among my business peers.
Anything else you would like to add or close and end with?
"All in all that is the basics. I can go on forever about security, benefits and business security concerns, culture building, business growth and so forth."
